Troilus Gold Corp. (TSX: TLG; OTCQX: CHXMF) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jacqueline Leroux to Vice-President of Environment and Permitting, effective today, September 1, 2021.

Ms. Jacqueline Leroux is a metallurgical engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry, focused primarily on projects located in northern Quebec. She has worked in various capacities with increasing responsibilities within the mining sector, which has provided her with invaluable experience and a deep knowledge of all aspects related to project development, construction, operations and mine reclamation and restoration. Most recently, she held the roles of environmental director for Goldcorp’s Éléonore project, Sustainability Director for Mason Graphite, and Environmental Vice-President for BlackRock Metals; positions where she was responsible for exploration permits, environmental assessment processes and construction permits. Ms. Leroux holds a Materials and Metallurgical Engineering degree from Laval University and is a member in good standing of Quebec’s “Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec “.

Management and Directors

Justin Reid, M.Sc., MBA President & CEO; Director

Mr. Reid is a geologist and capital markets executive with over 20 years of experience focused exclusively in the mineral resource space. Mr. Reid started his career as a geologist with Saskatchewan Geological Survey and Cominco Global Exploration after which he became a partner and senior mining analyst at Sprott/Cormark Securities in Toronto. He was then named Executive General Manager at Paladin Energy, where he was responsible for leading all merger and acquisition, corporate and market related activities. He is the former Managing Director Global Mining Sales at National Bank Financial, where he directed the firm’s sales and trading in the mining sector. Most recently, he acted as President and Director of Sulliden Gold Corporation, until its acquisition by Rio Alto Mining in 2014 and was Managing Director at Aguia Resources Ltd. from 2015 to 2019. He holds a B.Sc from the University of Regina, a M.Sc from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Richard Harrisson, ing. Chief Operating Officer

Richard Harrisson is a professional mining engineer with +20 years of experience in the mining sector, having held various engineering, development, and production positions, primarily in Quebec, but elsewhere in Canada and abroad. Mr. Harrisson was most recently Director of Project Assessments for Mine Canadian Malartic, where he was responsible for the development and construction of the Odyssey mine, one of the largest underground gold mining projects in Canada. Her also formerly served as Mining Director at Premier Gold Mines and has held several positions with Agnico Eagle including Engineering Superintendent at Goldex Mine in Val d’Or, Project Evaluation Engineer at CTMN and Underground Mine Manager at the Kittila Mine in Finland. Mr. Harrisson obtained his Bachelor of Mining and Mineral Engineering from Université Laval and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

Diane Lai, ICD.D, MBA Chairperson

Ms. Lai is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with 20+ years of global marketing and product management experience in the technology sector. She began her career in product development, working for Vodaphone in the UK, returning to North America after six years she went to work for Entrata Communications based out of San Diego, California. After a successful exit she relocated to Toronto for FloNetwork as their Director of Product Marketing (acquired by DoubleClick and then Google). In 2010 Diane founded an organic skincare company with a mission to develop all natural products for those with severe allergies and skin sensitives.  More recently Diane served as the Vice President of Marketing and IT for Yellow Pages Media, and Chief Operating Officer for ARHT Media Inc. (TSXV: ART).  Diane currently teaches at the University of Toronto in the Entrepreneurship Program and consults for the Bank of Montreal Agile Center of Excellence. Diane serves on the board of the Flato Markham Theatre and formerly served on the board of Aguia Resources. Diane graduated from the University of Waterloo, earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and received the ICD.D designation by the Institute of Corporate Directors. Ms. Lai sits on the Company’s Audit and ESG Committees.

Hon. Pierre Pettigrew, p.c. Director

The Honourable Pierre Pettigrew, p.c. has had a distinguished career with success in both public and private sectors. From January 1996 to February 2006, he served as a Member of Parliament. Most notably, he led a number of senior government departments in his ten years as a minister in successive federal Canadian governments. Among other positions, he has served Canada as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister for International Trade and the Minister for International Cooperation. He is now with Deloitte & Touche LLP in the role of Executive Advisor, International. Prior to entering national politics, Pierre Pettigrew was the Vice President of Samson Belair Deloitte & Touche International (Montréal), where he acted as an international business consultant. Mr. Pettigrew is Chair of the Company’s ESG Committee and sits on the Compensation Committee.

Andrew Mark Cheatle, P.Geo. FGS, MBA Director

Andrew Mark Cheatle is a mining industry executive and professional geoscientist with over 30 years of international mining experience in the junior and senior mining sectors. Mr. Cheatle was the Executive Director (‘CEO’) of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) from February 2015 to November 2017. From 2011 to 2015 he was President and CEO of Unigold Inc., where he oversaw the delivery of an initial mineral resource of two million ounces of gold at its flagship property in the Dominican Republic. Mr. Cheatle’s career has also included the roles of CEO and Director for a group of companies within a private merchant bank; Principal Geologist at AMEC plc; Chief Geologist at Goldcorp Inc./Placer Dome Inc.; and Mineral Resource Manager with Anglo American Corporation. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Condor Gold plc. Mr. Cheatle volunteers with not-for-profit organizations. He currently sits on the advisory councils of the Development Partner Institute and the Canada-International Finance Corporation Africa Local Economic Development Partnership and is a director of International Women in Mining. He formerly held the position of President of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. Mr. Cheatle is a graduate of the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London. Mr. Cheatle is Chair of the Company’s Technical Committee and sits on the ESG Committee.
